About The Position

The team member in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. The Groundskeeper is also responsible for maintaining property grounds, garages, and all other outdoor areas in clean, neat, and orderly condition, as well as providing superior service to both internal and external guest, using the customer courtesy skills of the Company. This position is a Safety Sensitive position. It is a job or position where the employee holding this position has the responsibility for his/her own safety and/or the safety of others.

Requirements

  • Must have knowledge of required Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must have basic knowledge of necessary tools and how to use and maintain them.
  • Must be able to receive and maintain all required certification relating to the position.
  • Must complete all required company training.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • 0 – 2 years of experience in building and grounds maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with all guests and team members to positively influence the guest and team member experience. Demonstrate resiliency when faced with difficult situations under all types of business conditions. Work effectively and courteously with fellow team members.
  • Responsible for general maintenance of all Grounds facilities on property and the property itself.
  • Responsible for maintaining and repairing Grounds equipment with instructions provided.
  • Wash and change of trash receptacles.
  • Pressure-wash as assigned.
  • Removal of spider and cobwebs as needed.
  • Weed removal and flower bed maintenance as needed, including treating with pesticide.
  • Gum removal from various surfaces as needed.
  • Removal and cleaning of any human or animal waste in patrol areas.
  • Responsible for cutting, weeding, edging grass, raking leaves, and sweeping parking lots.
  • Responsible for ensuring all signs, posts, and chain fences are straight and secure.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees.
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental and Company policies in an ethical manner and require others to do the same.
  • Handle routine customer complaints and incidents, and exhibit the appropriate discretion to define situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel. Seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including nights, weekends and holidays; shifts may change based on business needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
