About The Position

Responsible for keeping assigned grounds areas clean and free of debris. Maintains all trash receptacles in outdoor public areas, ensuring the area is clean and free of litter. Cleans outside public areas, sidewalks, and parking areas; picks up leaves and litter. Trims and prunes tree branches. Operates and maintains power lawn mowers, ensuring the equipment is clean and in proper working condition. Ensures all plant beds are free of weeds, dead flowers, etc. Operates snow removal equipment, if necessary. Promotes an atmosphere of fun for all casino guests and encourages mutual respect, dignity and integrity with all employees, by setting positive examples at all times.

Requirements

• High School diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.) and grounds maintenance experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
• This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Applicant must successfully complete screening for essential job functions.
