About The Position

Marana Health is seeking a Groundskeeper to join the Facilities team at the Marana Main Health Center, located in the heart of Marana, AZ. The Groundskeeper maintains the appearance, safety, and functionality of the organization’s exterior grounds. This role performs routine landscape maintenance, grounds cleanup, and seasonal tasks, ensuring outdoor areas meet established quality standards and remain clean, safe, and well-maintained for patients, staff, and visitors. Marana Health is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), with 11 sites in Tucson and Pima County. Our mission is to improve our community by providing exceptional, whole-person healthcare.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card through Arizona Department of Public Safety
  • Current Arizona driver’s license with clean driving record and proof of current vehicle insurance (39-month MVR will be run by MH)
  • Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to perform the essential functions of the position

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years’ related experience in groundskeeping or landscaping
  • Experience working in healthcare, campus, or commercial environments
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems and minor repairs
  • Pesticide applicator or related certifications
  • OSHA 10
  • Knowledge of OSHA SDS and hazard communication programs

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine grounds maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, and weeding
  • Maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, flowerbeds, and landscaped areas
  • Remove trash, debris, and leaves from grounds, walkways, and parking areas
  • Maintain sidewalks, curbs, parking lots, and outdoor common areas
  • Assist with planting, mulching, and landscape enhancements
  • Perform irrigation system checks and minor repairs
  • Operate and maintain grounds maintenance equipment and tools
  • Assist with seasonal and storm-related cleanup
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper operation of tools and equipment, consistent use of required PPE, and proactively identifying and mitigating common outdoor hazards (e.g., uneven terrain, weather conditions, and debris)
  • Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or safety concerns promptly
  • Perform minor exterior maintenance as assigned
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and safety standards
