About The Position
The Groundskeeper is responsible for the overall maintenance and care of the grounds, parking areas, and common area facilities to ensure they remain clean and orderly. This role operates under the direction of the Community Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor.
Requirements
- Ability to maintain clean and orderly grounds, parking areas, and common facilities
- Ability to cut and trim grass and shovel snow
Responsibilities
- Clean and polish lighting fixtures, surfaces, and trim
- Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas
- Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- Dust furniture and equipment
- Polish metalwork
- Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork
- Wash windows, door panels, and sills
- Empty wastebaskets and empty/clean ashtrays
- Transport trash and waste to the disposal area
- Replenish bathroom supplies
- Replace light bulbs
- Cut and trim grass and shovel snow
- Deliver messages
- Transport small equipment or tools between departments
- Attend and participate in regular meetings and training, as assigned
