About The Position

The Groundskeeper maintains assigned outdoor areas of the property, including parking lots, landscaped areas, garages, sidewalks, curbs, and gutters. The role includes cleaning grounds and removing litter, performing minor asphalt or concrete repairs, repairing directional signage, and painting parking lot stripes and curbs. The Groundskeeper is responsible for the safe and efficient use of equipment and machinery, including sweepers, mowers, trimming equipment, pressure washers, and aerial man lifts. The position also requires following departmental and property policies and procedures for guest service, maintaining strict confidentiality in company matters, and performing other related and compatible duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid state Driver’s License.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive approach to dealing with issues.

Nice To Haves

• Facilities maintenance experience in hospitality or a related field, or groundskeeping/landscaping experience.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and basic finishing.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
• Maintain assigned outdoor property areas, including parking lots, landscape areas, garages, sidewalks, curbs, and gutters.
• Perform minor asphalt or concrete repairs.
• Repair directional signage.
• Paint parking lot stripes and curbs.
• Clean grounds and remove litter as needed.
• Use heavy equipment and machinery safely and efficiently, including sweepers, mowers, trimming equipment, pressure washers, and aerial man lifts.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in all company matters.
• Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.
