Landscape Technician – JLL What this job involves As a Landscape Technician at JLL, you will play a key role in enhancing and maintaining the exterior grounds of our properties. Your work ensures that our sites remain safe, attractive, and compliant, directly contributing to client satisfaction and JLL’s reputation for excellence. This hands-on position involves a wide range of responsibilities, from landscaping upkeep and irrigation repair to snow removal and proactive asset inspections. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to comply with JLL and client-directed policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime and on-call, including emergency and seasonal duties.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in all climate conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of experience in a commercial landscaping environment.
  • Experience operating motorized equipment such as ZTR mowers, string trimmers, edgers, utility tractors, utility vehicles, and snow blowers.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and routine equipment maintenance.
  • Irrigation system experience.
  • Commercial pesticide applicator license.
  • Plant knowledge and identification skills.
  • Ability to wear and use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair irrigation systems, including routine zone checks, valve cleaning, and controller scheduling.
  • Perform regular landscaping activities such as mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, and pesticide applications to enhance aesthetic appeal.
  • Identify and treat pest and disease issues to maintain healthy turf and plant life.
  • Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Follow all safety protocols for the storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Complete work orders using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) according to service level agreements.
  • Inspect assets such as parking lots, sidewalks, and storm drains; assist with snow removal during inclement weather.
