Maintenance/Groundskeeper
About The Position
Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems by performing the following duties. This role is responsible for visually inspecting and testing machinery and equipment, listening for unusual sounds to detect malfunctions, and discussing machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines. The Groundskeeper will dismantle defective machines and equipment, install new or repaired parts, and clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Scheduling and coordinating repairs in a timely manner to assist the production team in meeting their schedule timelines is crucial. Additionally, the role involves installing and repairing electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. The Groundskeeper will also lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. Finally, the role includes repairing and maintaining the physical structure of the establishment, and may require performing non-maintenance duties on a temporary basis.
Requirements
- One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
