About The Position

Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems by performing the following duties. This role is responsible for visually inspecting and testing machinery and equipment, listening for unusual sounds to detect malfunctions, and discussing machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines. The position involves dismantling defective machines and equipment, installing new or repaired parts, and cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. The Groundskeeper must schedule and coordinate maintenance and repairs in a timely manner to avoid hindering the production team's ability to meet their scheduled timelines. Additionally, the role includes installing and repairing electrical apparatus such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. It also involves laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, as well as repairing and replacing gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. The Groundskeeper is also responsible for repairing and maintaining the physical structure of the establishment and may be required to perform non-maintenance duties on a temporary basis.

Requirements

One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Schedule maintenance in a manner that will not hinder the production team from meeting their scheduled time lines.
Co-ordinates repairs in a timely manner to assist the production team in meeting their schedule time lines.
Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
May be required to perform non-maintenance duties on a temporary basis.
