About The Position

Keepers of the grounds needed at the Steamboat Ski & Resort this summer! Prior experience operating heavy equipment, Skidsteers, and forklifts is helpful. Have fun in the great outdoors with us as we grow and expand to become one of the most amazing mountain destinations around!

Requirements

  • 2 years of previous work history/education required
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • General knowledge of lawn and garden care helpful
  • Prior experience operating heavy equipment, Skid steers, and forklifts helpful
  • Adhere to all safety policies
  • Must have valid driver’s license without limitations or restrictions and meet company’s insurability standards
  • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company’s Service Excellence standards
  • Must be minimum 18 years of age
  • Must lift minimum 50 lbs. (manual labor)
  • Work outdoors for long periods of time, possibly in inclement weather
  • Must bend and stoop for extended periods of time
  • Must walk on uneven terrain
  • Skill to operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner

Responsibilities

  • Grounds Maintenance, Special event set up & tear down, overall recycling and janitorial duties
  • Mow grass and weedwack
  • Plant & maintain annual flowerpots and perennial flower beds
  • Maintain & monitor automatic and manual irrigation systems
  • Construct new landscapes
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
