About The Position

The Groundskeeper is responsible for keeping outdoor areas safe, clean, and attractive and providing general maintenance and janitorial services. The role includes routine facility inspections, groundskeeping, minor repairs, and completing assigned maintenance work orders. The employee may also be required to report during inclement weather to help ensure adequate supervision and care of individuals in the home, including sheltering in place during a hurricane.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Valid Florida driver's license in good standing at all times.
• Previous working knowledge of general housekeeping equipment, maintenance tools, lawn equipment, and pressure washers.

• One year of lawn care and/or maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document weekly water temperature checks.
• Conduct other monthly and annual environmental checks as directed.
• Clean outdoor areas, including sidewalks, screened areas, gazebos, carports, parking lots, and other facility areas.
• Patch and paint inside and outside the facility.
• Replace light bulbs.
• Complete minor maintenance repairs, including painting, patching, minor electrical work, and minor plumbing.
• Complete maintenance work orders assigned through Maintainx.
• Walk through the facility inside and out daily to inspect for repairs.
• Complete grounds work as directed, including trimming bushes, weeding, assisting with planting, and keeping the facility manicured.
• Report to work during inclement weather to ensure adequate supervision and care of individuals in the home, which may include sheltering in place during a hurricane.
