This role assists various trades including painters, engineers, electricians, welders, carpenters, and the upholstery shop. The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the Casino grounds landscaping, ensuring the cleanliness of shops by taking out trash and sweeping, and delivering materials from receiving to the tool room and shops. The position also involves assisting with furniture setup for parties or events, moving and replacing furniture for different functions, and managing all work orders related to the shop. Additionally, the Groundskeeper drives a company vehicle for parts delivery, stocks the warehouse, maintains inventory, and transports goods to and from the Hotel. A key aspect of the role is maintaining knowledge of property information and memorabilia, while adhering to department and property policies and procedures. The role requires flexibility to handle changing priorities, the ability to apply common sense understanding to instructions, multitask in a fast-paced environment, exercise initiative and a sense of urgency, and be exceptionally self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail and strong tactical skills. Effective communication with employees and guests is essential, along with a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
