About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining the general housekeeping of the grounds according to USDA, OSHA, and company requirements. The role involves ensuring the grounds and premises are kept in a sanitary manner, including mowing and watering grass, and painting areas such as buildings and parking lots. The Groundskeeper will also be responsible for picking up trash, emptying trash receptacles, and transporting trash to the appropriate area daily. This role is part of a team and requires participation in ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies. The individual must be familiar with Simmons' operating systems and understand their role in supporting these systems, including communicating concerns and improvement ideas. The position also involves performing other duties as necessary to support business objectives.

Requirements

Must be able to work in extreme temperatures in and outdoors.
Must be able to work on feet entire day.
Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds from any body level.
Driver's license required.
Must be forklift certified/trained.

Nice To Haves

Preference for poultry or food processing organization experience.

Responsibilities

Mow and water grass.
Paint areas such as buildings and parking lots.
Pick up trash and empty trash receptacles by hand.
Dump trash in the appropriate area daily by hand and vehicle.
Participate as a member of the Team, fostering strong cohesiveness and resolving issues.
Maintain familiarity with Simmons’ established operating systems and the position’s role in support of these systems.
Communicate concerns and improvement ideas regarding operating systems.
Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
