About The Position
This is a temporary to full-time position responsible for preparing fields and turf for practice or games. Duties include regular mowing, monitoring irrigation, setting up and tearing down trash and recycling containers, preparing signage, and traffic control as needed. The role also involves applying pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers according to label instructions and manufacturer guidelines. Mechanical practices such as dethatching, aerating, and seeding are also part of the responsibilities. Additional duties may include snow removal, litter control, trimming, mowing, and weeding. The dress code requires black pants, a BGSU-provided shirt, and appropriate outdoor shoes or boots.
Requirements
- Ability to apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers according to the label and follows proper rates and guidelines set by the manufacturer.
- Ability to perform mechanical practices to the turf such as dethatching, aerating, and seeding.
- Must adhere to the dress code: Black pants, BGSU provided shirt, appropriate outdoor shoes or boots.
