About The Position

The Groundskeeper performs landscaping and property maintenance to keep the community clean, presentable, and well maintained while providing quality customer service. Duties include mowing lawns, planting flowers, removing debris, treating weeds, trimming trees and hedges, and maintaining buildings, sidewalks, and pool areas. The role may also involve power washing and painting, collecting yard waste and trash, cleaning facilities, emptying common-area trash containers, maintaining the swimming pool, dispensing propane, and cleaning or repairing company-owned rental units. The Groundskeeper reports maintenance or grounds concerns to management and performs other duties and special projects as assigned. This is a full-time, in-person position in Jennings, Florida. Candidates must be within commuting distance or relocate before starting.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of groundskeeping experience.
• Customer service experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English sufficiently to communicate effectively with residents, guests, and coworkers.
• Motivation and dedication to serving customers and doing a job well.
• Proficiency with various hand tools and power equipment.
• Must be within commuting distance of the property or relocate to Jennings, FL 32053 before starting work.
• At least 1 year of hand tools experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach periodically.
• Ability to work in changing environmental conditions throughout the year; most work activities take place outdoors.
• Ability to safely handle and use necessary equipment.
• Ability to safely lift, pull, and push up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility grounds, cleanliness, and upkeep to company expectations.
• Report maintenance or grounds concerns to management.
• Mow lawns, treat weeds, trim trees and hedges, and perform other landscaping as requested by management.
• Maintain onsite buildings, sidewalks, and pool areas, including painting and power washing.
• Collect yard waste and trash or debris, clean building facilities, and empty common-area trash containers.
• Maintain the swimming pool and pool area.
• Dispense propane as needed.
• Clean and repair company-owned rental units as needed.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
• Provide quality customer service to residents and guests.
