About The Position

The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining company grounds, facilities, and equipment to support safe and efficient operations. This position performs landscaping, building maintenance, equipment operation, irrigation support, and general repair duties at the administrative complex and surrounding sow farm locations while following all safety, environmental, and biosecurity requirements.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • 6 months of consecutive work experience in rolling 12 month period from date of application.
  • Must be able and willing to frequently lift, push, pull, and drag up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Must be able and willing to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the workday.
  • Must be able and willing to perform repetitive physical activities in an active outdoor environment.
  • Must be able and willing to safely operate landscaping and maintenance equipment.
  • Must be able and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able and willing to enter and exit vehicles, equipment, and trailers repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Must possess sufficient vision, hearing, mobility, and manual dexterity to safely perform all essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform groundskeeping, landscaping, and general maintenance activities.
  • Mow, trim, and maintain lawns, roadways, and surrounding property.
  • Operate landscaping equipment, including mowers, tractors, weed eaters, and chainsaws.
  • Operate reel rain irrigation systems in compliance with environmental requirements.
  • Perform basic equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to complete maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with cleaning and sanitation using pressure washers and other equipment.
  • Drive company vehicles between work locations as needed.
  • Pull and back trailers in support of daily operations.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and biosecurity procedures.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Communicate maintenance needs and operational concerns to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
