About The Position

Performs turf mowing functions on commercial zero-turn mowers. Operates large farm type tractors with implements such as mowers, spreaders, edgers, tillers, leaf sweepers, etc., used in turf and landscape maintenance in a safe and efficient manner. Performs grounds maintenance tasks in assigned work areas. Drives state vehicles that requires a Class E driver’s license. Performs and documents equipment safety checks. Assists mechanic in servicing assigned equipment.

Requirements

• Completion of ninth grade
• One year of relevant experience
• Valid Florida Class E driver’s license
• GI-BMP Certification (must obtain within 6 months of employment)
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Must pass a post-offer health assessment

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years’ experience in running mowers and tractors
