About The Position

GSF Properties Inc. is seeking a dependable and hardworking Grounds & Maintenance Technician II to join their team in Madera, CA. This dual-role position involves maintaining and improving an 81-unit apartment community. Responsibilities include groundskeeping, completing service requests, assisting with apartment turns, and ensuring the property is clean, safe, and welcoming. The role is vital in preserving the appearance, functionality, and overall success of the community while providing excellent service to residents.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of apartment maintenance experience.
• Experience with unit turns, work orders, and general apartment maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate web-based applications.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance required.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
• Able to work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

Responsibilities

• Maintain community grounds, landscaping, parking areas, and common spaces.
• Complete work orders and resident service requests in a timely manner.
• Perform apartment turns, including painting, cleaning, and general repairs.
• Assist with plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general maintenance repairs.
• Maintain property curb appeal and cleanliness standards.
• Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance needs.
• Assist with trash management and community upkeep.
• Support the maintenance team with preventative maintenance projects.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and visitors.
