About The Position

The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium is seeking a part-time Grounds Supervisor to join their Facilities & Grounds team. This role involves supervising and training part-time Facilities and Grounds employees. The primary responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness, safety, sanitation, and overall appearance of all Zoo grounds. This encompasses custodial and grounds maintenance, ensuring that public spaces such as restrooms, walkways, and seating areas are kept spotless and welcoming for guests.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, and standing for extended periods.
Willingness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Must understand the importance of a clean and safe working environment with a strong attention to detail.
Must be able to work night and weekend hours, including some holidays.
The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana.

Responsibilities

Supervision and training of part-time Facilities and Grounds employees.
Maintenance of cleanliness, safe conditions, sanitation, and pick-up appearance of all Zoo grounds.
Custodial and grounds maintenance.
Ensuring restrooms, walkways, seating areas, and other public spaces remain spotless and welcoming.
