About The Position

The Grounds Operator is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operational readiness of the plant. This role involves various tasks to ensure the facility remains safe and efficient, including cleaning equipment, managing materials, and assisting with production operations as needed. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and adherence to safety regulations.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent Education.
One Year of In Plant Manufacturing Experience.
Must Complete Written and Field Training for Loader.
Ability to Climb Ladders, Stairs, Scaffolding and Ramps.
Ability to Stoop, Kneel, Crouch, Reach, Stand, Walk, Push, Pull, Lift, Grasp, Shovel, Rake and any Necessary Requirements to Keep are Clean and Safe.
Ability to Work Extended Hours to Includes Nights, Weekends, and Holidays.
Ability to Work Outdoors, Rotating Shifts, and Lift 50 Pounds Required.

Responsibilities

Blowing off the dryer rotary unions, oil skids and duct work for the lines.
Forklift driver as needed for maintaining area.
Clean up sawdust utilizing brooms and shovels.
Assist with Pellet Mill Operations in the event of additional support needed.
Check and dump the hoppers through the facility.
Keep up with the fire boxes and extinguishers for their respective lines.
Clean to ensure the plant stays operationally ready.
Effectively Communicate to All Team Members and Management any Equipment Deficiencies.
Meticulous Attention to Detail; Able to Follow Instruction Both Written and Verbal.
Ensure Workers Adhere to Local, State and Federal Codes and Regulations.
Perform Other Related Duties as Assigned.
