The Grounds Maintenance Team Member is responsible for helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout Colorado Springs Flea Market while supporting daily waste management operations, grounds upkeep, special events, and overall guest experience standards. This position focuses on grounds maintenance before, during, and after market days. Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable operating tools, landscaping equipment, and company vehicles
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Dependable work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Weekend availability required
- Previous grounds maintenance, landscaping, janitorial, or waste management experience
- Experience operating maintenance equipment and power tools
Responsibilities
- Remove trash and maintain cleanliness throughout designated market areas
- Work with team members to clear lots of trash and waste efficiently
- Place dumpsters in designated areas before market operations begin
- Deliver dumpsters to vendors as needed
- Properly store dumpsters when not in use
- Ensure dumpsters and trash cans are emptied, swapped out, and cleaned regularly
- Repair dumpster wheels, covers, and related equipment as needed
- Keep compact and waste disposal areas clean and organized
- Place trash cans in proper locations throughout the property
- Fuel company trucks and gas cans
- Operate power tools, landscaping equipment, and other maintenance equipment safely
- Drive company vehicles as required
- Assist with snow removal when necessary
- Support special events and market operations as needed
- Assist with painting parking numbers and yellow lot lines
- Follow all company safety procedures while working around moving equipment and dumpsters
- Perform additional duties as assigned
