About The Position

The Crooked Oaks Grounds Maintenance Employee supports the maintenance and upkeep of university grounds, landscapes, and outdoor facilities to promote a safe, attractive, and functional environment for students, employees, and visitors. The role assists with grounds operations, event support, and other related activities as needed.

Requirements

• Be enrolled as a student at Auburn University.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Be able to follow directions and work independently.
• Be dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Be able to safely operate university equipment.
• Be able to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine grounds maintenance and landscape upkeep.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and groundskeeping equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain campus grounds, including lawns, trees, shrubs, hedges, and walkways.
• Remove trash, debris, and other materials from outdoor areas.
• Assist with setup and support for campus and departmental events.
• Follow established health and safety procedures.
• Work evenings and weekends as needed to support operations and special events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
