This position plays a vital role in shaping the daily campus experience at Shenandoah University. As a key member of our facilities team, you will ensure our buildings, grounds, and athletic fields are safe, vibrant, and welcoming. By maintaining a pristine environment, you directly support the academic mission and student life, creating a campus pride that everyone can feel.
Requirements
- Full-time, 40-hour-per-week position
Responsibilities
- Perform routine campus upkeep, including weed eating, precision pruning of trees, trimming undergrowth, and occasional mowing.
- Apply essential treatments -including fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides-to ensure the health and beauty of flower beds, bushes, and ornamental trees.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness. through regular litter control and removal, and address grounds issues like erosion repair.
- Assist in maintaining premier athletic fields in accordance with university standards.
- This position is a critical member of the Snow Removal Response Team, responsible for keeping the campus safe and accessible by clearing snow and ice from roads, walkways, and steps during inclement weather.
