The Grounds & Facilities Worker responsibilities include but are not limited to office moves, furniture moves, event setups, pickup and delivery of items from dock and to and from other campus locations; maintaining lawns, landscape, leaf clean-up, sidewalks, parking lots and parking garage; trash and recycling pickup and disposal; snow removal and application of de-icing product. This role also involves exterior grounds maintenance such as mowing, trimming, planting, fertilizing, pruning, mulching, weeding, and pesticide application. It includes maintaining sidewalks and parking lots, removing debris, and emptying trash cans. The position requires the utilization of heavy equipment and performing preventive maintenance on grounds equipment. Additionally, the role involves interior facilities support, such as moving furniture, arranging event setups, conducting building upkeep, and performing minor painting and drywall repair. Environmental and operational support includes ensuring the cleanliness and appearance of facilities, removing inappropriate markings, and performing hazardous material cleanup. The position also requires assisting the Police Department during emergencies and fostering a culture of respect and inclusion.
