This role is responsible for managing shift duties of the clean and safe ambassadors while ensuring compliance with all Block by Block standards, best practices, procedures, and policies. It involves being fair and holding the team responsible for completing projects and remaining productive. The Team Leader is responsible for communicating and leading daily shift briefings while assigning duties and zones, reviewing events, weather, and safety updates to Ambassadors. Providing excellent customer service in the BID and towards the team of Ambassadors. Provide guidance and direction for the on-street and in the field operations.

Requirements

Prior managerial/supervisory experience
Special project/Maintenance background - fixing banners, pressure washers, and operating other machines
Valid Driver's License
Open availability encouraged to accommodate the needs of the team
Must have the physical capacity to traverse continuously during an eight-hour shift, with normal breaks (two fifteen-minute, and one thirty-minute meal break).
Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions with provided inclement weather gear.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more when needed.
Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in order to create basic reports.
Basic knowledge of smart phone technology.
Proficient in computer usage and in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

Manage shift duties of clean and safe ambassadors, ensuring compliance with Block by Block standards, best practices, procedures, and policies.
Hold the team responsible for completing projects and remaining productive.
Communicate and lead daily shift briefings, assigning duties and zones, and reviewing events, weather, and safety updates.
Provide excellent customer service in the BID and towards the team of Ambassadors.
Provide guidance and direction for on-street and in-field operations.
Provide written reports of broken infrastructure and graffiti on private property.
Provide a basic daily report of accomplishments and tasks completed.
Provide direction and counsel to team members and report concerns to the Operations Manager.
Maintain a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and Block by Block standards.
Traverse continuously during an eight-hour shift with normal breaks.
Work outdoors in all conditions with provided inclement weather gear.
Speak, read, and write the English language to create basic reports.
Be proficient in computer usage and Microsoft Office products.
Utilize basic knowledge of smart phone technology.
