About The Position

SAIC is seeking an experienced Ground Systems Engineer to support the Space Development Agency (SDA) Tranche 3 Program Integration (T3PI) program. This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance and is located in Scottsdale, Arizona. SAIC is overseeing the Systems Engineering and Integration of the Tranche 3 space vehicle constellations, which involve hundreds of satellites accomplishing multiple mission areas, including missile warning, tracking, and defense. The role involves working with the SDA, end users, space vehicle contractors, and ground segment contractors to ensure the architecture, requirements, implementation, integration, and testing are executed successfully. The program is described as fast-paced, dynamic, highly exciting, and uniquely rewarding.

Responsibilities

• Act as Program Integrator Liaison to the Ground Segment development contractor
• Monitor key interface development, testing, and software deployment and advise the T3PI team and Government Systems Engineering Team on progress
• Collaborate with key stakeholders on ICDs, interface maturation, and inclusion of new interfaces in support of mission closure
• Identify and assess emerging technical and programmatic risks related to the ground systems and collaborate with system contractor team(s) to develop and evaluate mitigation strategies
• Support verification, validation, and deployment of ground solutions to operations
• Support readiness reviews and major program reviews to evaluate ground system readiness
