About The Position

The Ground Show Technician is part of the technical crew supporting live productions at Dolly Parton's Stampede in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The role manages arena prop transitions, supports animal handling, and engages directly with guests during interactive show segments. Comprehensive on-the-job training is provided, and candidates of all talent levels are welcome. This is a physically demanding position in a fast-paced live-theater environment. The technician works in deep arena sand, assists with medium to heavy lifting, and must be available for days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Requirements

Maintain positive, professional relationships with guests and fellow employees.
Be comfortable in front of large crowds and performing tasks in the live arena spotlight.
Adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic live-theater environment alongside barn animals.
Be able to stand, walk, and run in deep arena sand for extended periods.
Be able to perform medium to heavy lifting before, during, and after shows.
Maintain excellent attendance and have reliable transportation.
Have open availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Move, set up, and strike large props and equipment in the arena and between events.
Assist with getting barn animals safely on and off stage before, during, and after live performances.
Assist and guide guests during live, interactive audience events, promoting a safe and memorable experience.
Work with stage management, barn staff, and other tech crew members to maintain show quality and safety standards.
