About The Position

jetCenters of Colorado is seeking a full-time Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Mechanic for their Colorado Springs Location. jetCenters of Colorado is a well-regarded FBO network in Colorado, known for its commitment to safety, service, and security, serving various aircraft operations. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational readiness of the company's equipment.

Requirements

Age 21+
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver’s license, good driving record and reliable transportation
Ability to communicate effectively both in written and and oral form
Must have strong mechanical skills
Must be a team player
Must be a quick learner
Must be able to multi-task
Must have problem solving / conflict resolution skills, but know when to escalate
Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, motor records check and non-DOT physical, post offer; certain positions may require a credit check.

Nice To Haves

Provide own hand tools (Specialty tools are provided by Colorado Jet Center)
Prior Aviation/FBO experience
1-2 years of prior relevant experience

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment in a safe and effective manner
Take care of periodic maintenance tasks for equipment and vehicles
Run errands for the shop and facility, utilizing company transportation
Keep hangar(s) maintained (no debris, organized, etc.)
Properly complete forms and paperwork, documenting/confirming maintenance work
Must wear/use personal protective equipment (PPE), as applicable
Must be able to understand established hand signals and respond appropriately when environmental noise or distance has rendered oral communication impossible
Other duties as assigned
