As we expand our operations, we are looking for the "best in the industry" to lead our teams at YVR. At AGI, the sky is the limit! The Operations Supervisor is the tactical "nerve center" of our ground handling operation. You serve as the primary liaison between the Airline Operations Control Center (OCC) and our Ramp Leads. This is a high-pressure, leadership role. You are responsible for the real-time synchronization of manpower, equipment, and airline schedules. You don't just follow a plan; you adjust the plan every time a flight delays, a gate changes, or an IROP (Irregular Operation) occurs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in aviation ground handling or cargo/mail operations.
  • Strong computer proficiency and math skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; must be able to deliver clear instructions and maintain a professional demeanor during high-stress situations.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and be able to obtain/maintain an Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance (RAIC).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or coordination role is highly preferred.
  • Experience with flight tracking software or airline baggage systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the principal point of communication between AGI Ramp Operations and the airline customer (OCC).
  • Coordinate gate activity, towing requirements, and fuel/payload changes.
  • Manage real-time flight activity and resource allocation.
  • Proactively assign crews and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to meet shifting demands.
  • Anticipate and plan for Irregular Operations (weather, mechanicals, ATC holds).
  • Develop recovery plans to maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Monitor and record operational performance metrics.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for any delays and provide reporting to the Duty Manager.
  • Work closely with the Duty Manager to ensure manpower is optimized across the shift.
  • Ensure all unserviceable GSE is immediately removed from service and reported to maintenance.
  • Promote a "Safety First" culture.
  • Conduct spot audits of safety procedures and ensure all staff are compliant with AGI and Transport Canada regulations.
