About The Position

Under direct supervision of the Ground Maintenance Supervisor, responsible for the maintenance, upkeep and repair of the grounds by performing duties such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, raking and disposing of debris. This role involves working outdoors, often under adverse weather conditions, and requires the ability to operate various maintenance equipment. The technician will also assist with irrigation systems, provide routine maintenance of equipment, and promote a safe and healthy work environment. Compliance with regulatory laws, company policies, and safety codes is essential, as is maintaining internal guest service standards.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
One year of grounds keeping experience.
Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
No felony or theft convictions.
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, and obtain and maintain a gaming license.
Tribal preference applies.

Responsibilities

Maintain casino entrance and median landscape, including regular weeding and mowing.
Operate maintenance equipment such as string trimmers, walking mowers, and hand tools.
Assist in the repair, maintenance, and installation of irrigation systems.
Operate and transport equipment in a utility vehicle or golf cart.
Provide routine maintenance of equipment and tools, reporting any safety issues or repair needs to the supervisor.
Promote a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests.
Comply with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, and safety codes.
Ensure safe handling of equipment, tools, and materials.
Promote internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.
Perform other duties as required.
