About The Position

nou Systems, Inc. (nSI) is an Employee Owned (ESOP) company that provides products, services, and expertise with data-driven insights to transform defense systems and improve capabilities. This role is for a Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Fire Control (GFC) Analysis Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Engineering Services Division in Huntsville, AL. The position is part of a team providing test support to the Missile Defense System – Operational Test Agency (MDS-OTA), which conducts independent operational assessments of the Missile Defense System's capability to defend against missile threats. The role supports operational missile defense testing throughout the lifecycle, from concept development to reporting, including ground, flight, and cyber test events, and provides subject matter expertise for systems-of-systems supporting Strategic and Theater/Regional testing.

Requirements

Bachelor’s STEM degree.
Minimum of 5 years of full-time professional analysis experience.
Possess or can obtain an active SECRET clearance.
U.S. citizen.

Graduate STEM degree.
10 years of analysis experience in Missile Defense System Operations and Testing.
Engineering and analysis expertise within the Department of War (DoW) supporting integrated test philosophy, test regulations, and the planning and coordination of Test and Evaluation (T&E) programs.
Experience conducting operational testing and assessing the effectiveness, suitability, and survivability of weapon systems.
Experience with requirements development, derivation, traceability, and requirements management throughout the system lifecycle.
Strong ability to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders across multiple organizational levels, including Program Management, technical leadership, and junior engineering staff.
Ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams to support program objectives, technical reviews, and mission-critical decision-making.

Responsibilities

Support operational missile defense testing from initial concept development and requirements definition through test planning, execution, analysis, and operational assessment reporting.
Support a broad range of ground, flight, and cyber test events while providing subject matter expertise for systems-of-systems supporting Strategic and Theater/Regional testing.
Coordinate the planning and execution of system-level operational testing by developing test objectives, integrating test architectures and resources, and collaborating with key stakeholders, including the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Combatant Commands (CCMDs), and the Director of Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E).
Conduct complex system and system-of-systems (SoS) analysis using MATLAB, Python, and Parquet Table.
Leverage expertise in GFC analysis, software builds, Warfighter (WF) observations, and WF Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) to execute comprehensive GMD analysis across the entire SoS architecture.
Analyze GMD GFC weapons systems and sub-systems, weapons planner, sensor taskings, communication events, and targeting.
Extract actionable operational insights and contextualize operational picture and tactical performance.
Perform analysis of test data to evaluate the operational effectiveness and suitability of the Missile Defense System.
Prepare technical reports and executive-level briefings that communicate observations, findings, risk assessments, and recommendations to government and military leadership.
