About The Position

We are hiring a Systems Engineer to support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the Systems Engineering Team for the Ground Fire Control (GFC) product. This role supports defense and missile defense systems engineering, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), requirements development and verification, system architecture, and engineering artifacts using tools such as DOORS and Cameo.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of related experience; Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 0 years of related experience; or 6 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Solid understanding of systems engineering processes and principles with demonstrated experience applying them to product solution development.
  • Familiarity with DOORS, Cameo, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Experience with software development and requirements verification.
  • Ability to develop and capture technical concepts in engineering work products, presentations, and technical discussions.
  • Must be able to support an in-person, closed-area work environment and travel up to 10% to support business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program.
  • Battle Management or Fire Control experience.
  • MBSE or INCOSE certification.
  • Experience developing systems engineering artifacts, including specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, and related technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Support systems engineering activities for the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program and Ground Fire Control (GFC) product.
  • Apply systems engineering processes and principles to develop product solutions.
  • Support requirements development, analysis, management, and verification.
  • Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies using DOORS and Cameo.
  • Develop and maintain systems engineering work products, presentations, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams across varying experience levels.
  • Support software development and requirements verification activities.
