About The Position

The Pet Barber is seeking a manager for its fast-paced grooming salon in Houston. The salon has locations in River Oaks, Memorial, and the Galleria, and the manager will travel between all three locations. The manager oversees front desk and daycare operations, bathers and groomers, sales initiatives, employee scheduling, daily shop operations, inventory, retail and daycare initiatives, and client satisfaction. The role does not require responsibility for grooming techniques.

The Pet Barber is owned and operated by Paul Willis, who has been a dog groomer since 1998 and opened the business in 2014.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of management experience, including people management.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Management experience in a pet store setting is preferred.
• Social media experience is a plus.
• Sales experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage front desk operations to ensure bookings are accurate and KPIs are met.
• Manage daycare operations.
• Manage bathers and groomers; grooming techniques are not part of the role.
• Manage sales initiatives.
• Schedule employees.
• Oversee day-to-day operations across all three shops.
• Manage inventory.
• Create new initiatives for retail and daycare.
• Ensure clients are happy and feedback is positive.
• Travel between the River Oaks, Memorial, and Galleria locations.
