About The Position

Destination Pet is hiring a Groomer at Uberdog. The Groomer provides grooming services that help pets look and feel their best, while delivering a safe, calm, and kind experience for each animal. The position involves grooming a range of breeds and coat types, communicating with pet parents about their pets’ needs, and coordinating with bathers and front desk staff as needed. Compensation is commission-based: 50% commission, or 40% when working with a bather, and 30% commission on basic baths if applicable. Professional equipment is provided and sharpened twice a year. Requirements

Professional grooming experience is required.
Proven experience grooming a wide range of breeds and coat types.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and safely manage large or nervous dogs.
Ability to work in a physically active environment with heat, cold, water, and noise, and exposure to fur, cleaning chemicals, wet pets, accidents, and unpredictable animal behavior.
Time management, attention to detail, and a customer-first mindset.
Familiarity with pet behavior, stress signals, and safe handling practices.
Clear communication with clients, teammates, and pets.
Reliability and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Love of animals and commitment to treating each one with care.

Responsibilities

Snip, shape, and style pets according to owner preferences or breed standards.
Trim nails, clean ears, brush teeth, and tidy pets’ tails.
Bathe dogs or work with bathers to prepare pets for grooming.

Keep the grooming station neat and tools sharp.
Assist the front desk when pets are ready for pickup.
