About The Position

The Grocery/Warehouse Manager at Buc-ee's is responsible for overseeing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services to ensure the provision of materials, equipment, and supplies. This role involves managing warehouse employees, fostering a clean, friendly, and well-stocked work environment. Managers are expected to work a variety of shifts, including opening and/or closing, most weekends, and holidays. Key functions include building and managing a high-performance team, maintaining operational policies and procedures, coaching and disciplining staff, scheduling employees, monitoring work results, and ensuring the physical condition and security of the warehouse. The position also requires controlling inventory through physical counts. Candidates must be able to work during the store's busiest periods, adapt to a rotating day and night schedule, maintain prompt attendance, complete tasks efficiently, interact professionally, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting. Responsibilities

  • Provide materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services
  • Manage warehouse employees

  • Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
  • Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, and following up on work results
  • Maintain physical condition of warehouse by inspecting equipment and issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
  • Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts
  • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by monitoring security procedures and protocols
  • Work on the store’s busiest days
  • Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night
