About The Position

As the Grocery Manager, you will lead team members, manage department inventory, ensure pricing integrity, and oversee other operational processes that demand significant attention to detail. This is a fast-paced role requiring efficiency, effectiveness, and a passion for excellence to achieve results.

Requirements

• 3 years of management experience in grocery retail, restaurant and/or culinary experience
• Ability to read, understand and follow planograms, layouts, and schematics of the department for merchandising
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and proactively assist them in a friendly manner with accurate and timely service
• Make recommendations and accommodate requests
• Manage order guides, ordering deadlines, and reduce shrink/damage
• Properly receive and stock goods following rotation standards when replenishing product levels
• Direct teams to handle, restock, and merchandise goods according to TFM standards
• Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members “on-the-job” and through The Fresh Market’s internal training platform to provide excellent guest service in a safe and secure manner
• At times be responsible for total store operations or act as Manager on Duty (MOD)
