About The Position

This is not a seasonal/summer only opportunity. The role involves ensuring product selection accuracy by rotating products, removing damaged or out-of-date stock, and checking codes. It also includes managing unsellable items, keeping accurate shrinkage records, and maintaining grocery items to be in-stock, on-the-shelf, and fully-fronted, with special attention to high-volume products, special displays, and sale items. The position requires providing excellent customer service, participating in inventory counts, and performing opening and closing procedures. Flexibility in working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is expected.

Requirements

• Discovering customer needs and providing service in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Providing a rewarding shopping experience with accurate labeling of product shelf tags, price stickers and/or signs.
• Ensuring that grocery displays, aisles and storage areas are clean and in orderly condition.
• Effectively managing inventory by pulling back stock and re-pricing of goods, while processing new product deliveries.
• Sharing working knowledge of grocery offerings and trends.
• Displaying excellent interpersonal skills.

• Ensure that unsellable items are returned or otherwise properly disposed of, following established procedures.
• Keep accurate shrinkage records.

• Provide excellent customer service to all store patrons.
• Participate in inventory counts.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as assigned.

• Previous experience in natural/organic foods, grocery or retail preferred.
