About The Position

The Grocery Stocker helps maintain the quality, freshness, and assortment of products in the grocery department. The role includes receiving, storing, stocking, rotating, and facing products; maintaining inventory levels and accurate pricing; building displays; assisting with product orders; and providing excellent customer service. The position also supports store cleanliness, follows departmental and store policies, completes tasks efficiently, and helps the store succeed as a whole.

Requirements

Basic math skills.
Understanding of product rotation.
Enjoy working with and handling grocery products.
Passion for customer service.
Ability to interpret policies and procedures.
Strong organization and planning skills.
Solid verbal and listening communication skills for effective communication with customers and fellow associates.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures.
Maintain the quality and freshness of grocery department products and services.
Maintain appropriate product assortment and inventory levels.
Verify pricing accuracy and product signage, especially for advertised items.
Help keep the store clean and meeting company appearance standards.
Provide excellent customer service.
Receive, store, and stock a wide variety of grocery products.
Remove out-of-date products from shelves.
Build end-cap and other special product displays.
Assist the Grocery Manager with ordering products based on past and projected sales.
Complete assigned tasks efficiently and on time.
Set a professional and positive example for others.
Assist as needed to support the success of the store.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
