About The Position
The Grocery-Nite Clerk provides exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment to encourage customers to return. The role supports fair and ethical treatment of customers and employees, an inclusive work environment, responsible community membership, and the availability of the right products at the right time with fair and accurate pricing. The clerk is expected to model the company’s values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. The position involves unloading and sorting merchandise, moving items to designated storage or sales-floor locations, stocking shelves, applying price labels, and creating sales displays. The clerk must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Must be over 18 years of age to operate a powered pallet stacker or straddle stacker.

Responsibilities
- Conduct yourself professionally, maintain a positive attitude, and speak positively about the company in the presence of customers and employees.
- Respond to customer questions and requests courteously and helpfully.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Understand and adhere to shrink guidelines.
- Unload trucks carrying dairy, frozen, grocery, and other merchandise.
- Remove merchandise from pallets and sort it according to the area of the store where it will be stocked.
- Load merchandise onto carts for placement on designated shelves in the back room or on the sales floor.
- Read codes on shelves and merchandise labels.
- Manually attach price labels to items.
- Bring merchandise from the back room to stock sales-floor shelves and build special sales displays.
- Operate a manual pallet jack, powered pallet stacker, or straddle stacker if over 18 years of age.
- Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
