About The Position

Stew Leonard’s is hiring a seasonal hourly Grocery Merchandiser to build and maintain attractive product displays in the Grocery Department. The role supports product promotion, customer engagement, and department sales and profit goals. Merchandisers also help provide a welcoming and memorable shopping experience while working collaboratively with store team members. This is an entry-level position; no prior experience is required. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. The estimated pay rate is $18.25 per hour. The position involves frequent walking, squatting, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Take product inventory to determine the quantity needed for displays.
Remove expired or damaged products from displays.
Maintain proper rotation of perishable food items.
Ensure proper signage is posted and visible.
Follow health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
Greet customers with a friendly smile and positive attitude, helping them feel welcome and appreciated.
Collaborate with team members and provide assistance and support where needed.
Keep displays organized and fully stocked.
Create a memorable shopping experience and represent the store’s S.T.E.W. values in interactions with customers and team members.
