About The Position

C.A. Fortune is a national consumer-centric integrated commerce agency that supports brands through sales strategy, in-store execution, marketing, and digital commerce. The Grocery Merchandiser manages an assigned territory by completing store visits, audits, surveys, and other tasks. The role includes selling and merchandising products, gaining and maintaining product distribution, ensuring products are stocked and accurately represented on store shelves, and ordering products when stock is low or unavailable. The position involves working independently across local grocery stores in the Peoria, Illinois area, within an approximately 40–60-mile radius. The merchandiser uses provided technology and mobile apps for reporting, photo uploads, task completion, and communication, while switching between stocking, reporting, and interacting with store teams. This is a part-time position for 24 hours per week, paying $18–$20 per hour based on experience, qualifications, and skills. It requires regular standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, as well as travel between store locations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to drive to stores in the assigned territory.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proof of automobile insurance.
• Reliable phone that is within five years old, with service and internet access for daily communication.
• Ability to repeatedly stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
• Ability to work independently, follow directions, and communicate effectively.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced retail environment with minimal supervision.
• Previous retail, sales, or merchandising experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the assigned territory by completing store visits, surveys, audits, and tasks.
• Sell and merchandise products, and gain and maintain product distribution within assigned accounts.
• Build strong relationships with store teams.
• Order products and work new orders onto store shelves.
• Ensure client products are well stocked and accurately represented on shelves.
• Use mobile apps and provided technology for reporting, photo uploads, task completion, and communication.
• Travel between store locations within the designated territory.
• Maintain a safe working environment in stores.
• Maintain a professional appearance and follow dress code and attendance guidelines.
• Comply with additional guidelines established by store teams.
• Attend client kickoff video calls and team check-ins as required.
