About The Position

The Grocery Merchandiser manages an assigned territory by completing store visits, surveys, audits, and other tasks. The position involves selling and merchandising products, gaining and maintaining distribution, ensuring products are stocked and accurately represented on shelves, and ordering products that are out of stock or running low. The role requires regular use of mobile apps to report activity, upload photos, complete tasks, and communicate with store teams. Merchandisers switch among stocking, reporting, and communication throughout the day and work independently with minimal supervision across grocery stores in the assigned territory. The role is based in Aurora, Illinois, within a 40–60 mile radius, and is full-time at 37–40 hours per week. Compensation is $20 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to drive to stores in the assigned territory.
• Valid driver license and proof of automobile insurance.
• Reliable phone (within five years old), phone service, and internet service for daily communication.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift regularly throughout the day; able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced retail environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned territory by completing store visits, surveys, audits, and other tasks.
• Sell and merchandise products and gain and maintain product distribution in a variety of accounts.
• Build strong relationships with store teams.
• Order products and work new orders onto store shelves; ensure client products are stocked and accurately represented.
• Use mobile apps for reporting, photo uploads, task completion, and communication.
• Travel between store locations within the designated territory.
• Maintain a safe working environment in stores and comply with additional guidelines established by store teams.
• Maintain a professional appearance and follow dress code and attendance guidelines.
• Attend client kickoff video calls and team check-ins as required.
