  • Ability to operate equipment such as cash registers, pallet jacks, and ordering systems
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to approximately 80 lbs., and work in varying temperatures
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must demonstrate accuracy, honesty, and integrity in all job duties
  • Must comply with company policies, attendance standards, and dress code
  • Must be able to implement emergency procedures and respond to equipment or system issues
  • Position is classified as safety-sensitive
  • Ability to work in varied environments including cold storage and outdoor conditions as needed

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee daily operations of the Grocery Department (including Frozen, Dairy, and Liquor/Beer), ensuring efficient workflows and productivity
  • Supervise, train, and develop department associates; provide leadership and performance guidance
  • Manage ordering, receiving, storage, pricing, stocking, and merchandising to maintain product availability and presentation standards
  • Champion company customer service programs and resolve customer issues promptly and professionally
  • Plan, organize, and execute merchandising strategies, including seasonal and promotional activities
  • Monitor financial performance, control shrink, and ensure proper cash handling and accounting procedures
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and regulatory requirements
  • Open and close the store and assume total store operations in the absence of Store Director/Assistant Director
  • Maintain inventory accuracy, implement pricing changes, and prevent out-of-code product sales
  • Support cross-functional operations, including front-end functions and acting as backup checker when needed
