About The Position

The Grocery General Duty Clerk stocks products, organizes shelves, and helps customers locate items or answer questions. Overnight work focuses on processing deliveries, stocking shelves, and resetting displays to prepare the store for the next day, generally without customer traffic.

The role also involves moving products from the backroom to the sales floor, rotating inventory, monitoring stock, and keeping aisles and work areas clean and organized. It is a steady, physical, fast-paced job involving frequent lifting, carrying, and movement, including lifting up to 60 pounds. Employees may work daytime, evening, or overnight schedules.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to operate equipment such as pallet jacks and balers following training and safety guidelines.
• Basic math and communication skills.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including daytime, evening, overnight, weekends, and holidays.
• Compliance with company policies, including safety, sanitation, and dress standards.
• Comfort with frequent lifting, carrying, and movement, including lifting up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Stock products and organize shelves and displays.
• Assist customers with questions and help them locate items.
• Process deliveries and restock shelves, particularly during overnight shifts.
• Move products from the backroom to the sales floor.
• Rotate inventory, monitor stock levels, and remove outdated products.
• Keep aisles, backrooms, and work areas clean, clear, and organized.
• Use pallet jacks, balers, box cutters, and other store equipment according to training and safety guidelines.
• Follow company stocking processes, policies, safety and sanitation procedures, and dress standards.
