About The Position

Grocery Clerks work across the Dry Grocery, Dairy, and Frozen departments. They stock shelves and frozen food bins, maintain store cleanliness and presentation, receive product deliveries, verify delivery accuracy, and move products to the sales floor using various equipment. They rotate merchandise to ensure customers have access to fresh products and may perform other related duties as assigned. The position involves working in a fast-paced, customer-focused store environment. Team members under 18 are restricted from using knives other than safety cutters, using ladders, operating garbage or cardboard compactors, operating motorized or electronically powered equipment (including manual pallet jacks), and working for prolonged periods in coolers or freezers.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age.
Be dependable and reliable, and able to work a changing flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
Show mutual respect for others and maintain a high ethical standard within Sprouts’ culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction and work as part of a team.
Be able to perform repetitive activities, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
Be able to vertically and horizontally transfer boxes weighing up to 60 pounds from a height of 5 to 34 inches, across a distance of up to 5 feet, for up to 25 hours without mechanical assistance.
Adhere to all safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations.

Responsibilities

Stock shelves and fill frozen food bins.
Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the store.
Receive product deliveries and ensure delivery accuracy.
Move products to the sales floor using available equipment.
Rotate merchandise to ensure fresh products are available to customers.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Follow safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations.
