About The Position

The Grocery Clerk prioritizes excellent customer service to ensure a seamless shopping experience. The role maintains well-stocked and properly displayed grocery merchandise through careful merchandising and adherence to store standards. This is a part-time, hourly position at Uwajimaya in Bellevue, Washington, with an evening shift from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Basic math proficiency; familiarity with a ten-key calculator; and comfort using computers.
Flexible schedule to accommodate varying shifts.
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and proactively work independently.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Prior retail experience.
Knowledge of Asian products.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service, help customers locate products, offer product information, process special orders, and perform price checks.
Fill grocery shelves as needed while following proper procedures and maintaining cleanliness.
Face products and maintain shelf appearance daily.
Monitor product movement, maintain adequate stock levels, and promptly remove expired or damaged items.
Notify a supervisor about pricing inaccuracies, UPC codes, or incorrect signage.
Accurately check and receive incoming products, store items appropriately, and keep the area clean.
Break down delivery pallets and sort products onto designated aisles.
Continuously learn about products to improve customer service and satisfaction.
Perform other duties as assigned.
