Requirements
- Previous stocking experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of general grocery product lines or similar experience.
- Available to work on weekends and holidays or rotating schedules.
- Having or willing to obtain a Food Handling Card.
- Ability to communicate effectively to customers and team members.
- Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and other company policies.
- Proper training and knowledge of equipment operation required.
Responsibilities
- Set up and take down displays for promotional products. Ensure shelf tags are labeled correctly. Keep refrigerators neat and well-stocked, with promotional items visible to grab the attention of customers.
- Keep aisles and common walking areas clean/cleared of boxes and debris to prevent injury.
- Be aware of expiration dates, place older items in the front so they are taken first.
- Handle expired and recalled products properly. Keep accurate logs in accordance with the policies of the company, state food safety, and health regulations.
- Unload and break down deliveries, and arrange stockroom properly; stock shelves with products.
- Refill products to meet customer needs and rotate products using First-In First-Out (FIFO) method.
- Help customers locate products they are looking for.
- Work with other team members to conduct the inventory count.
- Follow the company policy to clean the product shelf, cooler and freezer.
- Perform other duties as for business needs.
