About The Position

We are currently seeking a Grit Blast Operator for our plant located in Cudahy, WI. This position is responsible for operating grit-blast equipment (hose, hoists, etc.) in cleaning forgings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to read and write

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads forgings to and from cart for cleaning by grit blast method.
• Positions cart containing forgings into grit-blast chamber.
• Sprays grit particles under air pressure using hose within cleaning chamber. Adjust equipment for required grit supply and air pressure.
• Checks forgings for adherence to standards as required.
• Maintains and cleans grit-blast chamber and equipment regularly.
• Removes cart containing processed stock from chamber. Loads same to proper container.
• Tags cleaned loads for further routing.
• Maintains identity, i.e.: serial, heat codes, etc.
