Requirements

  • Previous light/medium industrial experience
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to read, interpret and understand work in-process documents
  • Basic computer knowledge required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability
  • Provides accurate feedback to the department supervisor pertaining to quality issues
  • Lean skills continually drives process improvements
  • Team building skills

Nice To Haves

  • Must be fluent in English, i.e. speaking, reading, writing

Responsibilities

  • Performs tank maintenance, submits samples to the lab, and makes necessary additions.
  • Wears required PPE, including face shield, safety glasses, chemical smock or apron, rubber and cut-resistant gloves, steel toe shoes, and a respirator if desired and can pass the test.
  • Maintains logbooks.
  • Waxes or wax injects parts.
  • Grit blasts parts.
  • Performs heat tinting.
  • Conducts strip inspections.
  • Documents shop travelers.
  • Performs minor equipment maintenance and identifies the need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Maintains production standards and quality requirements.
  • Adheres to the corporate code of conduct.
  • Ensures compliance with IPM/QPM and ISO standards.
  • Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
