About The Position

In partnership with the I.A.T.S.E. Local 52, Reel Works is hosting an intensive training program to prepare rising New Jersey professionals with the essential skills needed to work successfully as a Grip – a first step toward a career in the entertainment industry. This course will cover the roles and responsibilities within the Grip department, specific technical skills on using equipment safely and efficiently, and how to work, dress, communicate, and behave safely and professionally on a film crew.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21+ years of age.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the US.
• Must be a New Jersey resident and able to provide proof of address within a 70-mile radius of Fort Monmouth.
• Must have experience using hand and power tools.
• Must have a desire to work in the TV and Film industry.

Nice To Haves

• Should know how to read blueprints.
