About The Position

The Grinding Utility Operator moves raw ingredients within the site, loads and unloads trailers, and prepares ingredients for mixing. The operator works in several positions throughout the site to ensure ingredients are ready for mixing. The role is based at Royal Canin in Lebanon, Tennessee, and offers a rotating 12-hour schedule: day shift from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. or night shift from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with four days on and four days off.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Forklift experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and be coachable.
• Passion for working and learning in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to act with disciplined initiative.
• Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• At least 1 year of experience within manufacturing, a technical discipline, and/or a trade discipline.
• Comfort working with business systems such as SAP, ATMS, and week plan.

Responsibilities

• Ensure raw materials are available for production lines on time.
• Communicate potential shortages to relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain close contact with the Operations team to prevent manufacturing delays.
• Raise relevant escalations affecting safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Move raw ingredients within the site, load and unload trailers, and prepare ingredients for mixing.
